Hiking in Japan

The island of Ishigaki is home to Mt Omoto, Okinawa’s highest mountain. You could easily spend a week exploring the island’s secluded beaches, relaxing cafes, and tranquil jungle scenery. Ishigaki is also the launching point for ferries to other islands in the Yaeyama archipelago, so it’s a good place as a base for exploring the rest of the amazing region.
